Adobe’s PDF now an ISO standard

Adobe’s Portable Document Format has now become an ISO standard. This means that an independent non-commercial organisation is now the custodian of the technology standard. Read the ISO’s press release in full.

This is similar to way that IBM handed over the DITA standard to the custody of OASIS.
